Phase-out Dates for Fluorescent Lamps in 7 States, USA

The 7 states that have banned fluorescent lights in USA are California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maine, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Vermont.


Phase-out dates for fluorescent lamps


The above chart shows, screw-based CFLs will be phased out by 2025 at the latest. Pin-based CFLs and fluorescent tubes will be phased out by 2026.


This summer, five more states have enacted laws that will end the sale of most fluorescent light bulbs. They are part of a growing clean lighting movement that aims to cut mercury pollution, utility bills, and planet-warming emissions.
